For my Big Data essay, I used four different colors to distinguish between my words and the words of my sources. This can be very helpful in order to see if one source is used more heavily than another. I am a visual person, so this technique is very helpful. After I completed this, I was able to see that I had a pretty good mix of my three sources along with my own words and claims. If I had one page entirely one color, I would go back and fix it. For this project, I didn’t have that problem! Another very helpful tool in revising is peer reviewing my classmates work. I can think back to how I critiqued their papers and use the same ideas for mine. If they did something very well, I can look to their work to help me out. If they had trouble with something that I also struggled with, we could potentially help each other work through it.
