Preparation of Licensure: Pediatrics CAT

This adaptive ATI was probably one of my worst. I was really hoping I would be cut off at 75 questions, but I went to 159. I have so much work to do right now, with ATIs in multiple courses, lecture exams, and the job search process. I feel as though I have so much to do and not enough time to do it. These adaptive ATIs could end in 75 or 265 questions, and I find myself stressing while doing them, because I could potentially go all the way and that would mean a ton of remediations. I do appreciate all that I learn from ATIs and remediations, but right now I feel like I have so many to do with such a little amount of time left in school. Thankfully, I didn’t go to the end, but I still had to do 48 remediations. I was quite stressed near the end of the test, again, because I had no idea how many questions I would be made to answer. I was relieved when it stopped. I ate some dinner and I got started on the remediations right away. I am now done completely, and I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. The rest of my ATIs have a set number and there’s nothing left up to chance. I will continue to do my best on the last set of ATIs that I have. I know they are preparing me for the NCLEX and I truly want to put my best effort in.

That was a tough one, and not necessarily reflective of your knowledge and abilities. Take what you can from the experience to support success in NCLEX preparation, and definitely celebrate the last of your assigned ATI CATs!
