Preparation for Licensure: Comprehensive Practice B

This Comprehensive Practice B test went very well for me! I was feeling confident going through the test and was hopeful that I did better than the Practice A. I was happy to see my score had gone up and I had 7 less topics that needed remediation. However, since I got over an 80%, I had to pick 7 topics to remediate to fully complete the assignment. I chose topics that I knew would be useful for me to review, including medications, and procedures/gear that I haven’t gone over in a while. It was helpful to review, but sometimes difficult to find the topics on ATI. I had to search a few topics in my textbook and on the web to be able to properly come up with 3 critical points. I think that when you don’t get a topic wrong and it isn’t in the same chapter as a topic you did get wrong, then ATI doesn’t put those areas in your focused remediations. Since I had trouble finding the information on ATI, I looked topics up on reliable sources.

I had a plan to take a short break after my first 50 questions and then again once I got to 100. This gave me a bit of a break and allowed me to refresh before answering more questions. I didn’t seem to get tired or burnt out during this exam, which I believe helped my performance. I am feeling a bit nervous for the proctored assessment, since it is 180 questions, but I feel as though I have been adequately preparing for it. I will use the same strategies I have been when taking the practice assessments and I will be sure to read every question thoroughly and go with my gut.
